Article

We are seeking help from general practice to test a questionnaire on prevention, healthy weight, and well-being in children and young people.

A new study aims to give us a better understanding of all the preventive work taking place in general practice—but we need your contribution to the study.

We want to map working methods and capacity in general practice related to health promotion and prevention among children and young people. To do this, we need your help to test a new questionnaire.

The mapping will provide insights into workflows, working conditions, and attitudes toward prevention in the areas of weight and well-being. This information will be used to target our future initiatives, such as social prescribing, course development, professional communication, and similar activities.

We also hope that the results will be relevant in other ways for doctors and healthcare professionals working with children’s health and well-being. You can read more about our focus areas here.

Purpose of the pilot test

The purpose of the pilot test is to ensure that the questionnaire is understandable and relevant for general practice.

Target group

The pilot test is aimed at doctors and clinical staff in general practice, including medical students, nurses, social and healthcare assistants, midwives, and physiotherapists. You do not need specialized experience with children, young people, or health promotion—the only requirement is employment in general practice.

Compensation

As a thank you for your participation, all participants will receive DKK 1,000 in accordance with PLO’s nursing home rates.

Practical information

The pilot test will last one hour and take place as an online interview via TEAMS. During the session, you will go through and answer the questionnaire together with a staff member from the Center for Healthy Life and Well-being. You will be asked to share your screen and provide comments on the questionnaire’s text, questions, and answer categories. The interview will be conducted by either Maya Sofie Tipsmark or Iben Rask Heuck. No preparation is required—what we need are your immediate reflections.

Dates and time

The pilot test will take place either in week 12 or week 14. We are flexible with timing, and evening sessions are also possible if preferred.

Recording and privacy policy

The interview will be recorded to ensure that all details can be incorporated into the subsequent revision of the questionnaire. The recording will be used solely to improve the questionnaire and will be handled only by relevant staff at the Centre for Childhood Health.
