The action plan is discussed and decided annually by the Centre's board of directors.
Centre for Childhood Health may enter into agreements in three different categories:
Strategic projects
A large part of the Centre's activities will be implemented through strategic projects that are launched outside of open calls. Strategic projects are utilised:
When the Centre wishes to develop the activity in collaboration with one or more environments
When one or more environments have specific capacity to carry out the activity in question. When several environments are relevant, the Centre will reach out to them and engage in dialogue and ask for a quote to solve the activity.
Strategic projects are subject to external review by relevant researchers/practitioners unless the board decides otherwise.
Consultancy assignments
The Centre may initiate consultancy tasks/tasks by commission/reports where the Centre has the power of instruction. This applies to limited tasks related to the Centre's activities. When purchasing consultancy services, depending on the scope and the type of assignment, alternative tenders should be obtained where possible. The organisation is not subject to public procurement rules.
Open calls
Open calls involve a competitive bidding process for funds within a given area or type of activity.
Open calls offer the opportunity to compare several different project ideas within a defined framework and select the best one. Open calls ensure that everyone who applies will be considered. The open call process can take different forms, such as a classic call for applications or a two-step process that begins with an expression of interest before selected candidates are invited to submit a full application. For open calls, the Centre will set up a decision-making group with competencies within the specific activity. The decision-making group will review incoming projects and make a selection based on this.
