Competence development
A wide range of professionals and volunteers play a role in children's health and well-being - either directly or indirectly. Thus, we will work to ensure that they have the knowledge and tools they need to do more of what works to prevent high weight gain and an increasing failure to thrive.
This can be done by translating learning and new knowledge into new evidence-based educational programmes and activities or courses, or through actual collaboration with educational institutions. In this way, we can help develop the competences of the professionals who meet children and adolescents on a daily basis and help create lasting change.
With the right training, the latest tools and knowledge of the impact on children, some professionals may also realise in new ways how important a role they can play for children.
Competence development will often be part of an implementation effort where new knowledge has been gained or practices have been reassessed. However, it can also build on existing knowledge or further develop the efforts of others.
