Friday Morning Talk: Overweight in Denmark. Development, health and socio-economic challenge
Join us for our Friday Morning Talk on 21 June from 8:30-11:00, where we will be joined by two researchers who will shed light on how the overweight epidemic presents a social and societal challenge.
Meet Professor Janne Tolstrup from the National Institute of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark and Professor MSO Jane Greve from VIVE - The Danish Centre for Social Science Research.
- Janne Tolstrup is an expert in public health and has researched what affects our health and well-being for many years. Her projections of weight trends in Denmark hit the headlines in March when they showed that one in three Danes will be obese by 2040.
- Jane Greve has in-depth knowledge of the social and socio-economic consequences associated with a high body weight. Earlier this year, she published studies showing how childhood obesity significantly impacts schooling, education, working life and well-being.
Time: Friday 21 June, 8:30 - 11:00
Location: Mogens Dahl Concert Hall, Snorregade 22, DK-2300 Copenhagen S
