Friday Morning Talk: Diet and pregnancy

Join us for our Friday Morning Talk on 26 April from 8:30 - 11:00 where we will be joined by two interesting researchers who will shed light on nutrition and health during pregnancy. They are clinical associate professor and consultant Christina Vinter from Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark and Professor Patrick Catalano from Tuft University in Boston.

FRIDAY MORNING TALK: Diet in pregnancy and offspring health

Christina Vinter is a clinical associate professor and consultant at Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark. Christina Vinter has spearheaded lifestyle interventions for pregnant women and will talk about outcomes and experiences, while Patrick Catalano is a professor at Tufts University in the USA and visiting professor at Aarhus University. Patrick Catalano talks about the importance of the pregnant woman's nutrition and metabolism for foetus and child.

The presentations will be conducted in English.

9.05-9.40: Prof. Patrick Catalano: 'Nutrient metabolism: beyond glucose relating to fetal and childhood growth'
9.40-10.05: Networking, coffee and snacks
10.05-10.40: Clinical Associate Professor Christina Vinter: 'Lifestyle intervention in pregnancy - offspring follow-up after 3 and 15 years'
10.40-11.00: Panel discussion moderated by Head of Research Nina Geiker.
