Annegrete Juul

As Director of the Centre for Childhood Health, Annegrete Juul has overall responsibility for the Centre’s strategic leadership, organisational development, and delivery of its ambitious goals to promote the health and well-being of children and young people in Denmark. Annegrete is the public face of the Centre and works strategically to embed its work across the environments and networks that can create meaningful change for children and young people.

Annegrete has many years of experience in leadership, higher education, and research, as well as extensive expertise in the field of children and young people. She is the former Dean and a member of the Executive Board at University College Copenhagen, where she led major merger and organisational change processes and established the Centre for Better Childhoods, a research centre focusing on children aged 0–6 years.

Annegrete holds a PhD in Organisation and Management Studies from Copenhagen Business School and is a former Associate Professor at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. In addition to her role as Director, Annegrete contributes her expertise on education, young people’s well-being, and welfare as a board member of University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), HF & VUC North Zealand, and Nørre Gymnasium, and as Chair of the Board of the Student Counselling Service.
