Realisation of the 25-year follow-up of 'Better Health for Generations'

The world's largest birth cohort collected data on 96,000 pregnant women and their babies in Denmark between 1997 and 2004. The Centre supports follow-up to increase knowledge about the relationship between body and well-being in children and adolescents.

Activity

Correlation between weight and well-being

The project will uncover the link between weight and well-being, i.e., will investigate both unhappiness as a potential cause of overweight and overweight being a potential cause of the failure to thrive. One aim of the project is also to investigate whether well-being can be a protective factor against high weight.
